Meet Tiffany D. Cross
Tiffany D. Cross is an American television host, political analyst, and author. Cross attended Clark Atlanta University, where she majored in mass communications with a emphasis on radio, television, and film.
She spent over 20 years working with media and politics, covering local, state, and federal campaigns and elections, as well as Washington D.C. politics. She firstly began working as a reporter at an Atlanta radio station. She later worked for CNN as an associate producer in the early 2000s. Cross was also the Washington, D.C., bureau chief for BET Networks and later became a resident fellow at the Harvard Kennedy school institute of politics.
Tiffany Cross was a regular guest on MSNBC programs, mostly for AM Joy, and in July 2020 she became one of the show's rotating quest hosts. After five months, she was named host of a new two-hour show on MSNBC called Cross Connection.
On November 4, 2022, MSNBC informed her production staff that Cross's contract would not be renewed. Variety reported that executives at the network were growing concerned about the anchor's willingness to address statements made by cable news hosts on other networks and indulging in commentary executives felt did not meet the standards of MSNBC news.
Tiffany later became an author of her own book called Say It Louder!: Black Voters, White Narratives, and Saving Our Democracy. Tiffany's book is a way to express examination of how America's composition was designed to exclude Black voters. With multiple tentacles stretching into the cable news echo chamber, campaign leadership, and Black voter data, Cross creates a wrinkle in time with a reflective look at the timeless efforts endless attempting to deny people of color the right to vote.
